THE ANATOMY OF THE FUTURE (2014)
This textual choreography is creating absurd, associative and poetic content. Our ears follow the movement between a text and a structure of the mind performed by a choir of four young dancers. The choir tells us things about Wendy who is a person, a destiny, politics, manifest and psychic landscape. The text is part of dipthyc work The Anatomy of the Future as the I part of it, as choreographer Janina Rajakangas in charge of the II part. The works premiered in Barker Theatre Turku in autumn 2014.

that I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me
that I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me
that I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me
the feeling that Wendy is going to leave me
the feeling that wendy is going to leave me
the feeling that Wendy is going to leave me the feeling
that Wendy is going to leave me the feeling
that Wendy is going to leave Me the feeling
that Wendy is going to leave Me the feeling
that Wendy is going to leave Me the feeling
that Wendy is going to leave Me the feeling
Leave Me the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave Me the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave Me the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave Me the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave the feeling that Wendy is going to
Leave the feeling 20 times so that you would believe that 20 times 42 is something so fucking huge that who is going to Believe the feeling will explode [Bum] and only an Easy poem stays around; what goes around, comes around, goes around, comes all the way back around. Yeah.”
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, said Wendy once, I over heard it once upon a time when there were only Wendy and me and other people called Wendy and me and their friends called Wendy and me and their friends called Wendy and me and their friends’ relatives from generations called Wendy and me and their relatives of generation’s friends called Wendy and me. So now what? What to do? And most of all, what not to do? Not to kill animals for Sadness. Not to kill animals for Circus. Not to kill animals for generations. Not to kill animals for Carpe Diem. Not to kill animals for rest. Not to kill animals for rest. Not to kill animals for rest. Not to kill animals forest. Not to kill animals forest. Not to kill animals forest. Not to kill animals forest. Not to kill animals forest. Not to kill animals and forest. No way. No fucking ”I did it my way and I killed many animals and forest”. Oh no. If you do that I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to call Wendy. I have to so that you would believe that I have to so that you would believe that I have to. But before that I am going to swing from the chandellier with Wendy. Oh yeah I’m gonna swing from the chandellier with Wendy. ”I’m gonna swing from the chandelier, from the chandelier. I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist. Like it doesn’t exist. I’m gonna fly like a Bird through the night, feel my tears as they dry.
I feel that something great is about to happen soon. But I think I will not die for Wendy.
I think I will not die for Wendy. I think I will not die for Wendy. I think I will not die for Wendy. I think I will not die for Wendy. I think I will not diaper Wendy. I think I will not diaper Wendy. I think I will not diaper Wendy. I think I will not put diaper Wendy. I think I will not put diaper Wendy. I think I will not put diaper on Wendy. I think I will not put diaper on Wendy, so, ready steady go.
Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go. Go Wendy. Go Wendy. Go Wendy. Go Wendy. Go feeling. Go leaving. Go believing. Go Oh gods. Go Oh animals. Go Oh people. Go Oh anatomy. Oh future. Oh sensitive parts. And most of all: Oh word. I’m gonna fly like a Bird, through the night, feel my tears as they dry. As they dry. As they dry. As they dry. As they dry. As they try. As they try. As they try. As they Try. As they Try. As they Try. As they Try. As they Try. As they Try. As they Try. As they Try. I kept this very clear so that you would believe that it is very clear. It is very clear: People try so hard. People try so hard. People try so hard I over heard them once upon a time when there were only people and me and you and Wendy and friends and relatives and generations and we all try so hard.
Oh gods. Oh animals. Oh anatomy. Oh future. Oh sensitive parts.
And most of all: Do you think that Wendy also tries hard?
Oh yeah, and guys, do you know what else Wendy will do?
Wendy will not slipp in to a penis.
And Wendy will not take a tattoo with words ”Carpe Diem”.
And Wendy will most certainly not say Wendy you don’t fit into my international life.
And Wendy will most definitely not say Wendy you don’t fit into my international life.
Not say Wendy you don’t fit into my international life. Not say Wendy you don’t fit into my international life. Not say Wendy you don’t fit into my international life. Not say Wendy you don’t fit into my international life. Why do you repeat that shit, asked Wendy’s swedish speaking international theatre leader lover originally from Finland once I overheard it once upon a time when there were only Wendy and penis and Carpe Diem and swedish speaking international theatre leader lover originally from Finland.
And we answered: Someone wrote like that because she has this language project.
Who, asked Wendy from beside the swedish speaking international theatre leader lover originally from Finland? I can not say. I promised her. Go I promised her. Go I promised her. Go I promised her. Go I promised her. Go I promised her. Go I promised her and 7 times more in the head, and then the swedish speaking international theatre leader lover originally from Finland became finally a true gentleman and exploded [Bum] and I think Wendy said ”Yeah”.
Oh Wendy. Wendy is so understanding. Wendy is so great.
Wendy? Wendy? Wendy?
I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me. I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me.
I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me. I have a feeling that Wendy is going to leave me. I said it only 4 times because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many times
because I’m too sad of saying it too many
because I’m too sad of saying it too
because I’m too sad of saying it
because I’m too sad of saying
because I’m too sad
because I’m too sad
because I’m too sad
because I’m too sad
because I’m too many
because I’m too many
because I’m too many
because I’m too many
because too many sads
because too many sads
because too many sads
because too many sads
because too many sads
because too many sads
because too many sads
because too many sads
I am sad. The one who had the language project didn’t know how to change that into other directon than even deeper sadness, and guys do you know what that means? It means that I can not anymore mention easy poems around what goes around, comes around, goes around, comes all the way back around, Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Oh. Gods. Fuck. Yeah to the idea of me and Wendy joining the circus as a couple who swings from the chandelier, because I have a feeling that we belong there The Best that I have a feeling that we belong there The Best and in that circus there are no longer animal performers. Go no longer animal performers. Go no longer animal performers. Only people and friends and relatives and generations swolloing fire and then exploding [Bum] but before that thinking about Stars and Moon and Mars and Venus.
Do you think that Wendy thinks about Venus? Lets call her now.
Tauko.
Yeah, Wendy thinks about Venus. She is pretty experienced in stuff.
And guys, do you know what other stuff Wendy will be experienced in?
Wendy will be experienced in feeling that something great is about to happen soon.
And Wendy will be experienced in leaving too many sad words behind.
And Wendy will most certainly be experienced in believing in the Re-thinking of Carpe Diem.
And Wendy will most definitely be so experienced that Wendy will avoid slipping in to a penis, so that acl ligament, pcl ligament, meninscus, patella, bursa and knee cap will be destroyed, so that from the cructhes you will get klamydia which will spred into the fingers, and from the fingers to the computer keeboard which was used to write this text, which will also melt, for which the heart will melt, for which the anatomy of the lower body will melt, for which the floor will melt, for which the ground will melt, for which the crust will melt, for which the upper mantle will melt, for which the mantle will melt, for which the outer core will melt, for which the inner core will melt. So now what? What to do? To say 16 times Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem. Carpe Diem and Stars and Moon and Mars and Venus in the head.
Wendy Who Never Exploded is a choreography of thought, association, word and a narrative.
